“I think it’s got to a point now in our world where the obsession is beyond obsession with how we’re meant to look. And I think also something that’s unsaid or not discussed enough is that men are just as concerned with body image as women.

The images that are in magazines and on television, and movies of men are ridiculous.  That’s a very hard thing to achieve.  

I don’t think that we should be overweight, I think that’s also unhealthy, but it’s unhealthy to have this constant obsession with this perfect body. 

So I guess I’m trying to take the lessons, the hard lessons that I learnt as a teenager, into my adult life and now as a parent of a young child and say well, it’s good to be healthy and fit but it’s bad to be obsessed with that, there’s a nice middle ground.” (x)
